Storyboard animatics and animation samples
These are some storyboards samples I drew and revised throughout PBS' "Wordworld".
I painted and animated this "word morph" for an episode on PBS' Wordworld...but I did not design it.

Illustrations

This recent illustration I did of Leonardo was fun to work on. It took me a little longer to finish than I liked; but when you got a family to raise "time" is something you cant necessarily afford. I think its one of my favorite pieces that I did in Photoshop.
My tribute to the best TV drama series ever! Thanks for the photoshop tips Alex.

I love lightsabers and streetfighter. And since Ryu is the baddest mofo aroun' this town, I thought it might be cool to make his a jedi too.
Another character I designed for the TMNT series. They had to cut some out since they had no story-line for them.

Designs/Illustrations

I drew this Superman pic because at the time I hadn't drew this character in years and I was pretty excited about the Superman Returns movie. Which bombed....damn.

Thundercats intro was one of the best animation I've ever seen. Wished the animation of the actual episodes were as executed that well. But it was a great show with some interesting stories and I wish the toys were still manufactured..you know, for my kids to play with...not me;)

I was looking to possibly do some advertisement work and I wanted to illustrate something in color pencils. So I was looking through some magazines and i found a photo of Trish Stratus. She seemed to be the most inspired visualize to draw.

I love to draw women. I painted the cuties in flash 8.0.

I created this character for the TMNT Flash Forward series. The description for the character required for him to be a android cop who is strict about following the law. I think I hit the mark on this one pretty well.

I was just sketching at work after looking at this book called Blacksad. It's a one of my favorites. I was sketching her in blue pencil and I was gonna clean her up with a pen. But I liked the blue pencil for her so much I left it as is.
Storyboard animatics
This dream sequence with Tuck was a hard one. They(creators)kept asking me to push the visuals, to make it magical. Which was odd to me at first since the show is done somewhat practical. I still liked the finished project from when it started out.
This song sequence with the Wonderpets arriving at Ollie's house was something I was looking forward to. He's a pushy, egotistical, self-centered kind of character. I think this bunny might have been inspired by the best rabbit of all time...Bugs.
This animatic has no audio. This is just a quicktime compilation of some of the shots
I worked on in Wordworld.
Storyboards
This insane surgery sequence was fun to work on because it was meant to be dark and creepy. Apparently, Hun and Garage man were conjoined twins. Pretty gross..I know. After watching the movie "House of a thousand corpses", I was ready to get to work on this scene.

I liked this page b/c I thought it had a nice pan of action with poses for Leo's training regimen.
This scene was a great opportunity for a dramatic battle. Shredder vs. Shredder! A mystic evil verses a supposed morale code of evil. The fight actually lasted about 10 minutes. In the end, Karai appeared to be no match for the original Shredder.

This was a turning point in the show. The turtles lair was being attacked by Shredder(Karai)and her hit squad of foot-tech ninjas and juggernauts. The battle was apparently so long they had to edit it down a bit.
